Today we’re shipping Sentinel — the embeddable safety companion that doesn’t guess. It tells your website visitors what’s happening right now: current weather, wildfire and flood conditions for their exact location, and it proves every statement with a signed, verifiable evidence receipt. No LLM in the loop. No opaque model. Just deterministic thresholds applied to live sensor data from the ATLAS sensor mesh.
Why we built Sentinel
AI assistants are powerful, but they can hallucinate. When safety is on the line, a confident but wrong alert isn’t just embarrassing — it’s a liability. Website owners in travel, hospitality, outdoor recreation, and events needed a way to inform visitors without exposing themselves to that risk. Sentinel answers that need: it reasons only from real sensor data, uses published thresholds, and cryptographically signs every assertion so visitors can check it themselves.

How Sentinel reasons
Sentinel invokes ATLAS sensor-mesh capabilities — atlas.situation.brief@v1, atlas.fire.weather@v1, and atlas.nearest.read@v1 — over the AI-market protocol. The responses are evaluated against deterministic, published thresholds to surface status levels. If sensor data is missing, Sentinel says “No data” instead of guessing. Every invoke is metered and recorded in the evidence trail, so operators always know exactly what their deployment is doing and what it costs.
